Panel voting is now open! This is your chance to vote for the panels you'd like to see at CON.TXT 2021! You may vote for as many or as few panels as you like. Voting closes on Friday, May 7, 2021, at midnight Eastern Daylight Time.

Panels which were only suggested as prerecorded panels or minipanels are not included in this survey. If you suggested such a panel, we will follow up with you soon.

You can also choose which of the Open panels—panels in need of mods—you would like to volunteer to moderate, by ranking up to five of your top choices. (Don’t worry—we won’t assign you to five panels!)

If you suggested or volunteered to mod a panel in the panel proposal post and see it listed in the poll as an Open panel, please select it as one of your mod choices in the poll if you are still interested!

If you suggested a panel and made arrangements in the panel proposal post to co-mod it with another person, you will still see it listed as an Open panel unless you specifically edited or commented on your post to mark it as Closed. We will contact you to find out if you still need additional co-mods before we assign any more people.

We strive to offer a well-balanced and wide range of panel topics. The voting tells us which panels are the most popular, but it also helps us choose among similar panels and decide which suggestions might be better combined. We don't use a strict numbers cut-off to determine our programming.

We're looking forward to seeing you all (virtually) at CON.TXT 2021! Vote now for your preferred panels.

Hi there. At least one minipanel made it into the survey. "Name That Kink!" was proposed as a mini panel. I could stretch it into an hour, but that wasn't how it was proposed.

Apologies, it was included by accident. We've removed it from the survey.

Thanks for letting us know!

Um, did it not occur to anyone that a "not in c-drama" panel is pretty racist???

Look, I'm tired, I don't actually want to engage in a sustained dialogue about this so I'm anonymous, but I'm disappointed that a con to works to be inclusive is entertaining this as a concept - it's racist, it's mean, and it's about being mad other people are having fun. There are all sorts of ways to frame "this isn't a thing I can engage with and I want to find other people like me" that are not this. That's literally what nearly every single other panel is about.

Well for what it's worth there's just one of me, but I realized a little more context (lol) might be helpful. Thank you for taking action. I wish this hadn't made it through to the survey un-reworked, but I appreciate that you moved quickly once it was pointed out.

Besides the specific reason why that policy failed for this particular panel -- you might just want to revise this policy generally? Substantial revisions also would usually imply a change in target audience, so this seems like it'd have a decent chance of resulting in panels that are unexpectedly much more or less popular than expected (I for one would have most likely indicated interest in a general panel for finding new fandoms, while 'not a c-drama' got marked as least interest)

If you're still planning on revising the panel, perhaps a panel on promoting small fandoms might be a good replacement?
