Orphans and Swap Tables at CON.TXT 2018

Got stuff you want to sell, but not enough to get a Fan Fair table? Got stuff you want to sell, but you’re not coming to the con? Sell it at the Orphans Table!

This year, the Orphans Table will only be out during the Fan Fair, but you can drop off Orphans merchandise at registration any time before 1 PM Saturday. As usual, 20% of the price of Orphans merchandise goes to support the con, and the rest goes to you! (Please, no items priced under $5; if you have smaller things you want to sell, bundle them into $5 lots.)

You can send merch to the Orphans Table even if you’re not attending the con! Email dealers@con-txt.net to arrange to ship your items. If you have unsold merch after the con, you can arrange to have it sent back (with the cost of your chosen shipping method taken out of your cut of the sales) or to donate it locally.

We will also have the Swap Table out all through the weekend, for any items you don’t care about selling but know someone must want. You can take or leave items from the table all weekend long; anything remaining will be donated (to thrift stores, libraries, or zine archives as appropriate) at the end of the con. Payment isn’t required for anything on the Swap Table, but we’ll have a donation tin out for our con charities, the Cancer Research Institute and the DC Center for the LGBT Community.

And it’s not too late to sign up for the Fan Fair! You can buy any number of half-tables at our Eventbrite registration page. The member rate is $10 per half-table.

(NB: If you are waiting to see what programming is up against the Fair before buying your table, we should have the schedule out very soon, but the window after that to make sure you get your name on the vendor page of the program may be short. However, if you don’t care about being in the program, there should still be tables available, and we are planning to have a few for sale at the door as well.

If you are a panelist, and you want to sell at the Fan Fair, and you did NOT list the Fan Fair as a conflict in your scheduling email reply, PLEASE CONTACT panels@con-txt.net ASAP so we can make sure you’re not scheduled against it!)
