con_txtWe're now accepting vid submissions for the Premieres and Nearly New shows at CON.TXT 2023!
Vids for both Premieres and Nearly New will be due by 11:59 PM EDT on Sunday, May 14 (what time is that for me?). This deadline is firm. There is a slight chance that we may be able to grant a very short extension, so if you think you may need one, please email us at vids@contxt.club as soon as possible.
You don't need to be registered for CON.TXT 2023 to submit vids to either show, but vids from registered attendees will be prioritized if we receive more vids than will fit in the show. You will need to create a Conline account and join the CON.TXT Conline page to submit your vids.
Prior to submitting, please remember that a premieres USB and/or DVD will be distributed as part of optional con bags, and by submitting a premiere you're allowing it to be included on this USB/DVD.
Full requirements and instructions for upload are listed below. In brief, we will need a YouTube or Vimeo upload and a downloadable copy to be included in the con bag USB/DVD.

NEARLY NEW GUIDELINES
Nearly New vids are those first posted online or shown at a con in the last year (on May 1, 2022 or later). Vidders may submit up to 2 vids to Nearly New, or up to 3 if one or more of the vids is a collaboration with another vidder.Instructions for upload are listed below.
UPLOADING YOUR VIDS
Vids should be uploaded to YouTube or Vimeo as an unlisted video. They should not be password protected. Please upload subtitles alongside your vids. Festivids has some great information on creating subtitles. Email vids@contxt.club with any questions and we'll be happy to help.Once your vid is uploaded to YouTube or Vimeo, you'll need to submit it to Conline.
- Visit contxt.conline.club. If you don't have a Conline account, you'll need to create one and join the CON.TXT Conline page.
- Click on your user name in the top right and then click Dashboard in the drop-down menu.
- Click Submit Videos.
- Select the show to which you're submitting a vid (Premieres or Nearly New).
- If your vid is already in the Conline database (IVDb), search for it in the Add Video field. If it's not already in IVDb, you'll need to add it to the database (link appears below the field).
- Optionally enter a description of your vid.
- If submitting to Premieres, check the Premiering box.
- Add applicable content notes according to the CON.TXT content notes policy. You are welcome to add additional content notes as well.
- If submitting multiple vids, set your personal priority for the vid. You can also add notes about conditional prioritization in the Conditionals field.
- Add the streaming link in the Youtube or vimeo link field.
- Enter the duration of the vid in seconds in the Duration field.
- Click the blue Save button.
- If your vid is a Premiere, you will need to upload your vid file so we can include it in the con bag. You can upload it to the linked Google Drive, paste a download link in the Upload link field, or email the file to vids@contxt.club. Your file name should include the vidder name(s) and vid title.
