reginagiraffeThis summer at CON.TXT, we are celebrating the past ten years and embracing change as we look ahead to the next ten. In past years the CON.TXT vid show has been slash-only, but this year we’re open to all vids. The vid show theme for 2016 is fannish diversity and celebration. Sell us on your OTP, make us fall in love with your fandom, show us why your fave is the best, or give us a vid that takes an older beloved fandom and makes us all remember our love for it. Comedy and drama are both welcome!
This year we’re particularly interested in highlighting the diversity of fandom and of human experience. We want to see vids with racial diversity in the characters they feature, vids from older or under-represented canons or for often-overlooked characters, and vids for non-U.S. or non-Western sources. Our roots as a slash con mean that we’re particularly interested in vids showing non-heteronormative relationships (slash, femslash, OT3, poly, etc), but we also welcome vids celebrating individual characters or gen vids that highlight a canon.

The deadline for vid submissions/suggestions is June 11, 2016. (If you’re submitting a Premiere and you need more time to finish it, we still need your submission entered into the form by that date. See the link above for details.)
